How Our Products Are Made

Most wild yam creams, beauty products, and supplements are manufactured in bulk by corporations with big machines with maximizing volume and capacity at the forefront. Then those products sit in a warehouse for months before ever being seen by a consumer. That process requires synthetic ingredients that may contribute to inflammation just to keep a product useable for that long and through the duration of use by the person who buys it.

Our products are completely different. All of our products are recipes with each ingredient serving a deliberate purpose beyond shelf stability. Each ingredient is chosen by me. I make every product by hand, pour every product, design and apply every label, and I alone pack and ship every order that arrives through various channels.

My name is Wendy. I am a 3rd generation herbalist and every product in my shop is formulated and created by me. I grew up on a big farm and ranch in rural South Dakota where my grandparents lived and taught me sustainability. My grandmother rarely bought anything in town, including anything medicinal. Our medicine cabinet was full of handmade creations she crafted from weeds.

Neighbors and extended family dropped by our house frequently to get assistance from everything from gout to pulled muscles. Grandma had a recipe for everything and when she didn't, we looked to books in her herbal library to formulate a new creation that was requested. She never made any promises or guarantees; she just made people feel better.

Today, I carry on that tradition. I chose to study herbalism and natural medicine. I use organic whole ingredients with no parabens, sulfates, or toxicity. Every herb is chosen carefully and harvested locally when appropriate. Many of my products require a long set up time because crafting a high quality and potent herbal infusion takes time. I do not use lab created extracts. I only use real plants, real oils, and real glycerin and beeswax.

If real ingredients, whole nutrients, and organic care are important to you, you are definitely in the right place. Don't be shy, introduce yourself. I'd love to meet you. Make sure to subscribe to the newsletter and get your free eBooks: Everything Wild Yam & Easy Everyday Remedies.

I'm so happy you are here! ~Wendy
